Yorkshire Wildlife Park is South Yorkshire's newest attraction. Situated just outside Doncaster, the park occupies 70 acres of a 260 acre site, offering a unique view into the world of animals with walkthough areas including Lemur Woods and Wallaby Walkabout. New for 2010: lions come to Doncaster for the first time!Lion Country will open for visitors to see from May 2010 .
The most endangered carnivore in Africa, the Painted Hunting Dog, can be also be seen at the Park, and on the ‘African Plains', zebra, antelope, ankole cattle and ostrich roam free. Other animals include the popular meerkats, racoon dogs and a new herd of Bactrian Camels. Birds of Prey fly at weekends and during the school holidays from April to September 1st.
Regional food is championed at the Wild Café and children love the dropslides and astraslides in the Jungle Play Barn.
We also host education programmes and exciting events, and visitors can experience our unique packages such as ‘Behind the Scenes VIP Tours' and ‘Ranger for a Day'.
