Yorkshire Magnificent Attractions, a consortium which brings together twenty of Yorkshire's best attractions take their place at the 153rd Great Yorkshire Show last week (13th-15th July). Over 120,000 people visited the show over the 3 days providing a great stage to promote Yorkshire's Attractions to a mass audience.
Both children and adults were entertained and educated by the fun activities and prize draws taking place on stand. A wide variety of activities were available from the Attractions; Xscape brought a Sno!zone simulator, Magna taught children how to make sherbet whilst Eureka and The National Railway Museum helped children make their own badges and musical instruments. Best of all National Media Museum brought along a chroma key screen which allows any picture to be a background. The children had pictures under the sea, boarding Hogwarts Express and with Shrek.
Whilst the children were being looked after and entertained, parents had the chance to enter a free Grand Prize Draw offering them the chance to win family tickets to the entire group's attractions.
Over the course of the three days 11,000 information and discount booklets were distributed to the public and over 750 Grand prize draws were entered. The prize draw was available to people aged 16+ offering entrants the chance to win tickets to all Yorkshire Magnificent Attractions.
The Prize entry will be drawn at the beginning of next week.
