One week gone already! But don't worry as Magna Science Adventure Centre has 5
more weeks of fun to keep the little ones occupied and the parents happy! Plus you
haven't missed our Juicy Fruit workshops as they are on again this week.
This summer we are celebrating everything great about Magna with our Magna loves
summer campaign. Join us each week as we celebrate a different area of Magna. This
week we are celebrating the fire pavilion with Magna Loves Fire: 2nd - 6th August - Take
part in our Chinese fire lantern making workshops, create and design your own lantern
and light up the skies as it takes flight.
Other themed weeks of activities coming up:
Magna loves Water: 9th - 13th August,
Magna loves Earth: 16th - 20th August,
Magna loves Outdoors: 23rd - 27th August,
Magna loves Steel: 31st August - 3rd September.
Workshops are £1 per child.
Juicy Fruit workshops are taking place Monday to Friday this week and Monday-Friday
also during week 3 of the summer holidays. What's common to all life on Earth? ...DNA!
Extract the DNA from a kiwi fruit and create a colourful DNA bracelet. The workshops are
running in conjunction with a unique new exhibition that has just landed at Magna, Inside DNA which investigates developments in the field of human genes. Explore the role genes play in our everyday lives as well as hearing the ideas and opinions from leading researcher.
Don't forget to bring your towel as Aqua-Tek our outdoor play area will be open
throughout the summer holidays so make the most of the sunny weather and spray,
splash, squirt, and get soaked!
